Eat a small meal or snack every three waking hours of the day.
Drink a minimum of 90 oz of water everyday. Carry a jug around with you everywhere you go until you get used to it.
Eat small amounts of healthy fats with your meals to provide satiety. Healthy fats include avocados, almonds and nut butters.
Try to reduce or avoid starchy carbs at nighttime. Our metabolism is slowest at night and we’re not always active enough to burn those calories off before bed, and excess calories get stored as fat.
Choose whole foods over processed foods. Whole foods are foods in their natural state; such as beans, peas, vegetables, Ezekiel Bread, etc.
Do your cardio. Cardio burns fat. Weight training is great, but to resculpt your body and shed the fat, do not skip your cardio.
Include more Vegan proteins in your diet. Foods such as Seitan, Tempeh and Hemp Shakes increase your protein mass and help you build and preserve your lean muscle tissue. The more lean muscle, the more calories burned per day and the leaner you look because muscle takes up less space in the body.
Do not allow yourself to wallow in guilt when you “cheat”. It is what we do more often than not that gets us to our goal… not what we do once in awhile.
